My comic follows one of my close friend’s struggles with her eating disorder and its effects on her college experience culminating in her decision to take medical leave. The beautiful outside of the book conceals the chaos within, mirroring her own attempts to mask her struggles. I am profoundly grateful for her bravery in sharing her
story with me, and I hope this comic encourages others to advocate for themselves and seek the help they need.
