              <text>My grandpa entered the field of cardio-thoracic surgery during its infancy. He established the cardiac surgery residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital, founded heart transplant programs at the University of Michigan and the University of Iowa, and performed the first pediatric heart transplants in both Iowa and Michigan. What he is most proud of, however, and what I hope to honor with this project, are the relationships he built with his colleagues, patients, and students. </text>
